FEATURES- CardScan Personal v8 Scanner
CardScan Personal is the smallest, most affordable system from
CardScan - ideal for the user on the go. Synchronizes easily with
Outlook, PDAs and smart phones. Monochrome scanning in only 5
seconds per card.
Ideal for today's mobile lifestyle, the new palm-sized scanner
featured in CardScan Personal measures only 4.5" x 3.125" and has a
closing scanner door, detachable USB cord and handy travel pouch.
CardScan makes managing, finding and reaching contacts a snap.
Assign contacts to any of the scores of business categories
provided, or create custom categories of your own. Find contacts as
you type your search criteria with CardScan's QuickSearch feature.
Use the de-duping wizard to eliminate duplicate records. Print
labels to any DYMO LabelWriter, to most every other label format --
or print directly on envelopes. Just click to call any contact, to
send email to single or multiple contacts, or to generate a
MapQuest map for any contact location.
Use a PDA or handheld? CardScan's ability to synchronize with these
and other devices makes it the ideal contact management hub.
In addition to all these great features that CardScan has offered
for years, there are a number of new features in CardScan version 8
that make managing contacts even easier.
* NEW! Navigation Bar
Spend less time looking for information -- and more time acting on it.
Just click to quickly locate any contact or group of contacts, by name
or category -- or to find recently changed records, verified records,
duplicates, and recent search results. You're never more than a few
seconds away from the information you need.
* Export to iPod
iPod owners: Take your contacts with you, without investing in a PDA. If
you have a new iPod with an address book function, simply export your
CardScan address book to our new iPod template, and then load the
template to your iPod address book. It takes just a few minutes -- and
puts your contacts at your fingertips, wherever you go.
* Detect and display an icon for your DYMO LabelWriter
Just click to start printing labels. If you have a DYMO LabelWriter
printer, CardScan will automatically detect it and place an icon for it
on the toolbar. Then just click the icon -- instead of working through
the standard Print dialog box -- to print labels directly to the
LabelWriter.
* Choose your mapping service
Multiply your mapping options. Now you can map contact addresses using
your choice of MapQuest, Google Maps, Ask maps, Expedia, and
MultiMap.
* Start CardScan by scanning a card
Scanning just got one step simpler. Now when you scan a card in your
CardScan scanner, your CardScan software launches automatically (if it
isn't launched already) and processes the scanned card, ready for you to
approve or edit.
* Designate a CardScan File as an Outlook Address book
Email CardScan contacts transparently from Outlook. Want to email
directly to CardScan contacts via Outlook -- but not go through the
trouble of synchronizing your CardScan and Outlook data? No problem --
just follow a simple, Wizard-driven process, and Outlook can "see" your
CardScan contact names and email addresses just as it sees your Outlook
contacts. So when you start to type any CardScan contact's name in an
email's "To" field, Outlook will
