The SV431 is a 4-port KVM switch that allows 4 computers with PS/2 or
Serial style keyboard and mouse connections to be controlled from
one monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Ports are switched by pressing a button on the unit, or by entering a
simple keyboard hot-key sequence. The StarView prevents boot-up
errors by providing keyboard and mouse emulation to the non-selected
PC. Its low cost, super small footprint design, and high 1920x1440
resolution display capability make this switch perfect for any
application where reliability and cost-effectiveness are a
necessity.
* Hot-pluggable to allow computers to be added or removed without worrying
about having to reboot the other connected system.
* "Keep-alive" feature draws power from PC keyboard ports if power is lost.
Switch will continue to operate during power outage even if it loses
power, retaining mouse control.
* Compact 1U rack height takes up very little cabinet or rack space.
* A front panel pushbutton and status lights for each port make PC
selection and switch status monitoring fast and easy.
* Uses standard off-the-shelf cables or StarTech tangle-fee KVM cables
to connect PCs to the switch.
* Works with notebook PCs and most varieties of scroll mice.
* Can be cascaded to control up to 16 PCs.
* Desktop or Rack-mountable (rackmount kit not included - see SV431RACK).
* Supports PCs requiring either PS/2 or serial mice (includes 2 serial
adapters).
* Completely operating system independent, No software or drivers required.
