The SV832 is a reliable computer management tool that allows you to
control multiple computers from one source, minimizing downtime by
making connected computers and input devices available as soon as
they are attached. A n all-metal, 1U chassis provides SV831 with a
rugged and durable body that adds to the unit s reliability and
dependability.
The dual console feature of the SV832DS allows the KVM to be
controlled from either of 2 user consoles. This provides flex-
ibility when used with rackmount cabinets, allowing and internal
and external control console or in any situation where having 2
access points is beneficial.
An On-Screen Display (OSD) feature allows PC selection from an on-
screen menu of user-defined computer names. This switch s built in
OSD security keeps unwanted users out.
Up to 8 additional SV832 StarView switches can be daisy-chained for
expansion as needs grow to control a maximum of 64 PCs.
The SV832 is designed to work with Dell, Compaq, IBM and HP servers,
all PC notebook computers, and Compaq Alpha systems, ensuring a
smooth and reliable operating experience. Connected systems are
quickly switched between using fast-switch buttons. Its low cost,
super small size, and high 1920x1440 resolution display capability
make this switch perfect for any application where reliability,
compatibility, and faultless operation are important.
* 2 user consoles provides 2 points of access to the computers connected to
the KVM switch. KVM control is shared between the consoles on a first
come-first served basis. Only user 1 console can be active at a time.
* OSD security option allows certain PCs to be password protected from
unauthorized use.
* Hot-pluggable to allow computers to be added or removed without worrying
about having to reboot the other connected system.
* "Keep-alive" feature draws power from PC keyboard ports if power is lost.
Switch will continue to operate during power outage even if it loses
power, retaining mouse control.
