The Zoom Model 4300 modem is equipped with Bluetooth wireless
technology to provide untethered access to the Internet, e-mail,
and fax communications using Bluetooth enabled PDAs and computers.
Simply plug the Model 4300 into a standard phone jack and use your
Bluetooth-enabled device to access the Model 4300's dial-up
faxmodem. Now you can experience the freedom of communications
unencumbered by phone cords or computer cables. The Model 4300 is a
Class 1 Bluetooth device for support of wireless connections within
a range of approximately 100 meters (328 feet) from the modem.
(Range is impacted by building materials and interference).
The Model 4300 connects to the Internet at uncompressed speeds of up
to 56,000 bps downstream and 33,600 bps upstream. With compression,
data rates can exceed 200,000 bps upstream and 120,000 bps
downstream. The Bluetooth connection supports throughput speeds up
to 723Kbps for full support of the modem's maximum speed.
The Model 4300 is also a full-featured external 56K V.90 faxmodem
with a serial interface. The modem can be configured to connect to
a computer through either the serial port or through the Bluetooth
connection.
The Model 4300 supports telephone answering machine and voice mail
functions when used with compatible software.
The Zoom Wireless Modem is lightweight and compact for use in the
office or on the road.
Installation and operation are easy. Simply plug the Model 4300 into
AC power and then into a phone jack, access the Bluetooth
management software on your Bluetooth-enabled laptop or PDA and
you are soon ready to enjoy wireless connections using your
Internet browser, AOL, or fax software.
Includes Wireless Modem, Power cube, Phone cord with two RJ-11 male
connectors, Manual and software on CD, Two Velcro wall-mounting
strips.
* The "F" designation in the model number indicates the product is
compliant with Restriction on Hazardous Substance (RoHS) regulations and
can be used on systems shipped into the EU.
* Provides a dial up Internet connection to Bluetooth enabled devices such
as a desktop computer, notebook computer, or a Personal Digital
Assistant (PDA).
* Provides wireless send and receive fax at speeds up to 14,400 bps to
Bluetooth enabled computers.
* V.90 56Kbps and slower data communications speeds.
* Works as a wired voice faxmodem with any Windows, Macintosh, or other
computer having an RS-232 port.
* Bluetooth Class 1 device for wireless communications at up to 100 meters
(328 feet).
* Bluetooth key provides security from unauthorized access using the E1
security algorithm and the EO cipher.
* Documentation provided in English and Spanish.
