Quatech's SSPXP-100 fully supports serial UART registers and addressing exactly like a computer's native serial port. Thus, unlike the many USB design based ExpressCards, Quatech's SSPXP-100 PCIe based design can achieve higher data rates (Up to 921 Kbaud) and integrate with existing software."
